Merge

A MetalStorm aircraft database.

The merge is the moment two aircraft pass each other and the fight starts. What you brought to it is already decided by then. This is where you decide it: all 43 aircraft, every published stat, every weapon, and the comparisons the wiki cannot make for you.

Start with your question

Five views. They share one selection and one URL, so anything you pick in one follows you into the others.

What you will not find on the wiki

The wiki publishes the numbers. These are the comparisons between them.

11

aircraft are strictly outstatted

An aircraft is outstatted when something you could already have matches or beats it on all 7 core stats at the same hangar level or lower. The MiG-23 Flogger, for instance, is matched or beaten on every one of them by the J35 Draken. It is worth knowing before you spend, and it is worth reading carefully: core stats do not include abilities, weapons, handling or hitbox size, which is why plenty of outstatted aircraft are still good. The compare view shows the reasoning and lets you disagree with it.

Ranges drawn to scale

Cannon reach, missile reach, radar and the two warning ranges, all on one plan view at one scale, with a plain readout of what is true at whatever distance you set. Every aircraft carries at least seven measured ranges and some carry twelve.

12

metrics the wiki does not publish

Computed from the published stats and labelled as estimates wherever they appear: AB Uptime, Energy Budget, Turn Retention, and 9 more. They sort, chart and rank like any other stat, and each one carries what it measures and the formula behind it wherever it is shown, so you can check the arithmetic rather than take it.

Upgrades

What the wiki publishes about upgrading, and what it means for an aircraft.

Build calculator

Pick an aircraft level and a tier for each of its systems, and see what the stats become, downsides included. Up to four builds side by side. These are the only numbers in Merge that are calculated rather than reproduced, so the page says so and shows what the model was checked against.

Upgrade unlock schedule

10 upgradable systems and the aircraft level each of their tiers opens at. It says when you can upgrade, not what the upgrade costs or changes, and it points at the official planner for both of those.

48

statistics defined

What each statistic in the game measures, in the wiki's own words, covering the airframe and every weapon class. The ones this tool tracks carry their definition wherever they appear.

What this does not cover

Data as of 2026-08-18.

Every number here is the base, level 1 aircraft as published on the wiki. Upgrades, mods and mastery bonuses are not modelled, so two aircraft that look close here can feel far apart once one of them is fully upgraded. Nothing here measures how an aircraft handles, how big a target it is, or how well its ability fits the way you fly. Read it as the starting point of an argument, not the end of one.

Upgrades come in two halves. When each tier unlocks is published on the wiki and is here in full. What an upgrade costs and what it does to your aircraft is answered by Starform's own upgrade planner, which signs you in and plans against the aircraft you actually own. That is the right tool for that question, and this one is deliberately not a copy of it.

The figures are reproduced from the wiki rather than measured in the game, so a number you disagree with is a question for the wiki editors. Every aircraft page here links to its own wiki page for exactly that. Report a figure that looks wrong if it differs from what the wiki says.
