v02 Studio is operated by Nelson Ngo, ABN 68 264 322 144, in Victoria, Australia. In this policy, “v02,” “we,” “us” and “our” refer to that business.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, hold, use and disclose personal information when you:

• visit https://v02.dev or another webpage operated by v02;
• submit an enquiry or request a website review;
• book a call;
• communicate with us by email, telephone, social media or another channel; or
• otherwise deal with v02 in connection with our web design, development, strategy, copywriting, SEO and related services.

We comply with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles where they apply to us. Where they do not apply, we aim to handle personal information consistently with the practices described in this policy.

2. What is personal information?

Personal information is information or an opinion about an identified individual, or an individual who is reasonably identifiable. Depending on the circumstances, business contact information can also be personal information when it identifies an individual.

3. Information we collect

The personal information we collect depends on how you interact with us. It may include:

Enquiry and contact information

• your name;
• email address;
• telephone number;
• business name, role, industry and location;
• website address and social media details;
• preferred contact method;
• project type, goals, timing and indicative budget;
• information included in your message or attachments; and
• any other information you choose to provide.

Booking and communication information

• meeting details and availability;
• the date, time and content of emails, calls and other communications;
• notes reasonably required to understand or follow up your enquiry; and
• feedback, questions, complaints or support requests.

Client and transaction information

If an enquiry becomes a client engagement, we may also collect information needed to prepare a proposal, enter and administer an agreement, deliver the work, issue invoices, receive payment and maintain business records.

Payment card details are not collected through the public v02 website. If a third-party payment service is used later, that provider will process payment information under its own terms and privacy policy.

Technical and usage information

When you access the website, our hosting, content-delivery, security and embedded-service providers may automatically process technical information such as:

• Internet Protocol address;
• approximate location derived from an IP address;
• browser, device and operating-system information;
• pages requested, referring page, timestamps and request logs;
• security, diagnostic and performance information; and
• cookie or similar technology data used by a third-party service you choose to open or interact with.

We do not ask you to provide sensitive information through the general contact form. Please do not send health information, government identifiers, financial account credentials or other highly sensitive material unless we have specifically agreed on a secure way to receive it.

4. How we collect information

We usually collect personal information:

• directly from you when you complete a form, send an email, book a call or communicate with us;
• through the operation of the website and its service providers;
• from a person who refers or introduces you to us;
• from your business or an authorised representative; or
• from publicly available business websites, directories, professional profiles or social media pages where it is reasonable to use the information for business contact.

If you provide personal information about another person, you must have a reasonable basis for doing so and, where required, have their permission.

• provide an initial website review or arrange a consultation;

If you do not provide the information marked as required in an enquiry or booking process, we may be unable to assess the request, respond properly or arrange the requested meeting.

6. Direct marketing

Submitting a project enquiry does not automatically subscribe you to a marketing list.

We may send service-related communications about your enquiry, booking or project. We will only send newsletters or broader promotional electronic messages where we have the consent or other lawful basis required by the Spam Act 2003 (Cth).

Marketing messages will identify the sender and provide a simple way to unsubscribe. You can also ask us to stop sending marketing at any time by emailing nelson@v02.dev. We may still send non-promotional communications reasonably required to respond to an active enquiry, administer a client engagement or meet a legal obligation.

7. When we disclose information

We may disclose personal information where reasonably necessary to:

• technology providers that host, deliver, secure or support the website;
• email, communications, scheduling and contact-form providers;
• contractors or specialist collaborators engaged for a project, where authorised or reasonably necessary;
• accountants, insurers, lawyers and other professional advisers;
• a purchaser or adviser involved in a proposed sale or restructure of the business, subject to appropriate confidentiality protections;
• government bodies, regulators, courts, law-enforcement agencies or other persons where required or authorised by law; or
• another person with your consent.

Service providers may process personal information only to the extent needed to provide their service or as otherwise described in their own privacy terms.

We do not sell contact-form submissions or personal information to data brokers. We do not disclose enquiry information to unrelated businesses so they can market their own services to you.

8. Service providers and overseas processing

The website and business use third-party technology services. Depending on how you interact with v02, these currently include:

These providers may store or process information outside Australia. Privacy protections in another country may not be equivalent to Australian law. Where the Australian Privacy Principles apply, we take reasonable steps required by law in relation to overseas disclosures.

When you leave v02.dev to use Calendly or another third-party website, that service's own privacy policy and terms also apply.

9. Cookies, logs and external resources

The website and its infrastructure may use server logs, essential browser storage and similar technologies needed to deliver pages, maintain security and diagnose performance.

The website may also request resources from third parties, including Google-hosted font files. When your browser requests an external resource, the third party may receive technical information such as your IP address, browser information and the page making the request.

The current policy does not authorise the undisclosed use of advertising pixels, behavioural profiling or session-recording tools. If v02 adds analytics, advertising or other tracking that materially changes how personal information is handled, we will update this policy and implement any notice or consent mechanism required by applicable law.

You can control cookies and local storage through your browser settings. Blocking some technologies may affect the operation of third-party booking or embedded services.

10. How we protect information

We take reasonable administrative and technical steps appropriate to the nature of the information we hold. These may include access controls, account authentication, software updates, reputable service providers, encrypted connections and limiting access to people who need the information for a legitimate purpose.

No website, transmission or storage system is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, but we will respond appropriately if we become aware of a suspected loss, misuse or unauthorised access or disclosure.

11. How long we keep information

We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, for a related legitimate business purpose, or as required by law.

The period will depend on factors including whether:

• an enquiry is active or may reasonably be followed up;
• the person becomes a client;
• records are needed for accounting, tax, insurance or contractual purposes;
• information is relevant to a complaint, dispute or legal claim; and
• information remains in a secure backup for a limited period.

When personal information is no longer reasonably required, we will take reasonable steps to delete it or de-identify it, subject to legal and technical limitations.

You may ask what personal information we hold about you, request access to it or ask us to correct information that is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, irrelevant or misleading.

We will respond within a reasonable period. Access may be refused or limited where permitted or required by law, including where disclosure would unreasonably affect another person's privacy. If we refuse a request to which the Privacy Act applies, we will provide the reasons and available complaint options where required.

14. Third-party websites

The website contains links to third-party websites and services. v02 does not control their privacy or security practices. Review the relevant third party's privacy policy before providing information to it.

We may update this policy when our website, providers, business practices or legal obligations change. The current version will be published on this page with its effective and last-updated dates. Material changes will apply from the date stated in the updated policy.
